At Vivid Care, we understand that finding the right seating solution can be challenging, especially when faced with short-term care needs. That’s why we offer chair rentals, on Level 4 care chairs and specialist adjustable rise recline chairs. Unlike standard rental options that provide fixed-size chairs, our chairs are designed to offer therapeutic benefits and adjustable features tailored to individual needs.

Who Can Benefit From Our Rental Service?

Our rental service is ideal for:

  • Hospital Discharge Teams – Ensuring patients have the right support at home post-discharge.
  • Private Individuals – Whether self-referred or recommended by an Occupational Therapist.
  • Local Authorities – Providing temporary care solutions for individuals in need.

We offer chair rentals within a 1 hour 30-minute (80-mile) radius of our HQ in Wetherby (see green area in adjacent map), however if you are outside of this area please still get in touch as we may be able to accommodate you but standard lead times and costs may be affected.

How to Rent a Specialist Chair

Our rental process is simple and efficient:

  1. Choose Your Chair – Select from our range, including the Lento Care Chair, Little Lento Care Chair, Lento Mobile Rise Recliner Chair, Lento Neuro Chair, and Lento Mediatric Rise Recline Chair.
  2. Book Your Rental – Contact us online, by phone (01423 799960), or by email ([email protected]) to book your rental.  A minimum 4-week rental is required, payable upfront along with delivery and collection fees.
  3. Delivery & Setup – Our team will deliver the chair, and ensure it is set up correctly (read more below).
  4. Ongoing Support – If you need to extend your rental, we offer discounted rates for longer hire periods.
  5. Return or Purchase – When your rental ends, you can return the chair or opt to purchase a brand-new one with a discount equivalent to the first 4 weeks’ hire fee.

Delivery and Collection

  • Delivery: Our experienced and friendly team of seating specialists will deliver the chair to your location, ensuring it arrives in pristine condition. Chairs are transported in protective covers and are unwrapped upon arrival inside the property. Our team will then set up and adjust the chair to fit the user’s needs.
  • Collection: At the end of the rental period, our team will coordinate a convenient pickup time. Upon arrival, the chair will be thoroughly checked over and hygienically wrapped and secured for return transport.
  • Infection Control and Maintenance: Once returned, each chair undergoes a rigorous decontamination process following our strict hygiene protocols. Any necessary repairs or maintenance are carried out before the chair is made available for the next rental.

FAQ’s:

  1. How long is the minimum rental period?: The minimum rental period is 4 weeks, payable upfront.
  2. Can I rent a chair for more than 4 weeks?  Yes! We offer discounts for extended hire: 20% off for rentals up to 8 weeks, or 30% off for rentals over 8 weeks (must be paid upfront to qualify).
  3. What happens if I return the chair before 4 weeks?  If returned within 2 weeks, we offer a 25% discount on the remaining rental period. If returned after 2 weeks but before 4 weeks, no refund is given.
  4. What if I decide to buy a chair after renting?  If you choose to buy a brand-new chair, we will deduct the first 4 weeks’ rental fee from the purchase price. However, this does not apply to hire/collection costs or rentals exceeding 4 weeks. If you wish to purchase the exact chair you rented, we can provide a separate quote.
  5. What if the chair gets damaged during my rental period?  Any damage beyond normal wear and tear is chargeable. Our team will assess the chair upon collection, and repair costs will be invoiced accordingly.
  6. How does delivery work?  Our trained staff will deliver the chair, ensuring it is set up correctly for the user’s needs. Chairs are transported in protective covers and unwrapped inside the property. Any pre-existing damage is documented and photographed before handover.
  7. How does collection work? At the end of the rental period, our team will coordinate a convenient pickup time. Upon arrival, the chair will be thoroughly checked over and hygienically wrapped and secured for return transport.  Any damage found on the chair beyond normal wear and tear will be chargeable.
  8. How are the chairs cleaned between rentals?  Each chair undergoes a thorough decontamination process following strict hygiene protocols.
  9. How do I book a rental?  You can book a rental by contacting us on the phone (01423 799960) or by email ([email protected]). We will guide you through chair selection, rental terms, and payment before arranging delivery.
  10. Are there discounts available?  We offer extended hire discounts – 20% off for rentals up to 8 weeks, and 30% off for rentals over 8 weeks (must be paid upfront to qualify).  We also offer an early returns discount: if the chair is returned within 2 weeks, we will offer a 25% discount.
  11. What payment methods do you accept?  We accept bank transfers and major credit/debit cards. All rental fees, including delivery and collection, must be paid upfront.
  12. What if I need to extend my rental?  If you need to extend your rental period, let us know in advance. Discounts are available for longer rental terms if payment is made upfront.
  13. What if I no longer need the chair?  If you wish to return the chair before your rental term ends, let us know as soon as possible to arrange collection. Refunds are only available if the chair is returned within 2 weeks of the rental start date.
  14. Can I trial a chair before committing to a rental?  If you’re unsure which chair is right for you, our team can provide guidance based on your needs. While we do not offer free trials, we ensure the chair is properly set up upon delivery to match the user’s requirements.
